Kinloss Eagles (newly Formed) train every Tuesday & Thursday from 5.30pm at Kinloss Park and have been placed into the RBS Caledonia Regional League Division 3 North this season. They will compete with the following teams this season; Aberdeen Wanderers 2nds, Deeside, Dyce, Ellon 2nds, Garioch 2nds, Gordonians 2nds, Grampian Police, Huntly, Inverness Craig Dunain, Mackie 2nds, Peterhead, Shetland & Strathspey. Kinloss are going strong in both the league, where they continue to be undefeated, and in the RBS North Regional Bowl competition where they play Aberdeen Uni Medics in the semi final away in February. if results go both ways, we can hopefully have two local teams playing in the RBS North Regional Bowl Final, a massive pat on the back for local rugby. the winners will then go on to play in the National Bowl semi final against a team from either the Borders, East or West division and be only one match away from playing in the finals day at Murrayfield on 20 April. The very best of luck to both teams.

RAF Losiemouth RFC are awaiting one match to see if they finish in the top 6 of the league after being deducted 5 league points however, they have the RAF Cup Quarter Final against RAF Brize Norton to look forward to look forward to and having won the CUP for a coveted 3 years in a row in 2012, they are looking to be the first RAF team win the cup 4 years in a row and gool luck with that.

Moray RFC V Kinloss Eagles
Having both won their semi finals both local teams progess to the RBS North Regional Bowl Final. Kick off is at 2.30pm at Morriston Playing Fields. Good luck to both teams.

The Food Standards Agency Scotland (FSAS) has teamed up with Scottish Rugby to launch yet another annual initiative which will encourage thousands of youngsters across the country to increase their knowledge of food hygiene, healthy eating and improve their fitness.

Some 5,000 school children from 160 primary schools across Scotland will take part in this initiative. It comprises a six-week training course for boys and girls in primaries five and six. The course is designed to make children more aware of the benefits of good food hygiene and healthy eating.

We have managed to secure 180 places on the above initiative which 3 local schools have opted into to run in partnership with their health weeks.Dallas, Bishopmill & Dyke have started the 6 week course with Craigallachie, kinloss & Cullen Primaries due to start soon.
We belive this is a great way for children to get wise about health and food safety while getting involved in sport, especially rugby.

Street Rugby - Coming To A Street Near You!

Street Rugby, part of CashBack for Communities, is a project for which the Scottish Government enlisted the help of Scottish Rugby to deliver free playing and coaching opportunities to young Scots in areas of urban and rural deprivation.

Street Rugby is the development of a non-contact and portable version of rugby that can be packaged up and taken into new communities over a number of weeks.

We are lucky enough to have the chance to offer Street Rugby (free of charge) in the Moray area. These are likely to be during the Easter and summer school holidays. Look out for posters in your area with dates and times for the next sessions.
